Gernot Hoersch, Joe FrohriepThe new theatre play by Bodo Wartke! After King Oedipus the piano cabaret artist proves his acting talent for the second time with a tragedy by Sophocles. Wartke and his long-standing stage partner Melanie Haupt play all the roles in the play in rapid changes of roles with few props in a minimalist set design. The contemporary interpretation is not only dedicated to the story of Oedipus‘ eldest daughter in depth, but also includes the prehistory that Sophocles describes in Oedipus at Colonus narrated. The makers of the play approach their story with respect and humour. Antigone, without taking the tragedy out of the piece.
